Nigeria, Oct. 9 -- The African Democratic Congress (ADC) says it will independently collate and publish polling-unit results during the 2027 general elections, insisting that doing so is within its constitutional rights.

The opposition party was responding to a warning attributed to the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Joash Amupitan, against sharing privately collated election results.

In a statement on Thursday, the ADC National Publicity Secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi, said the party would document results through its polling agents and make verified figures available to the public.
