Nigeria, Sept. 24 -- The Central Bank of Kenya has announced the transfer of the entire assets and liabilities of Access Bank (Kenya) Plc to National Bank of Kenya Limited as part of a business combination of the two entities.

In a statement issued on Wednesday and seen by PREMIUM TIMES, the Central Bank of Kenya noted that it approved the deal on 17 August 2026 under Section 13 (4) of the Banking Act, which also received the nod of the Cabinet Secretary for the National Treasury and Economic Planning on 21 September 2026, pursuant to Section 9 (1) of the Banking Act.
