Nigeria, Oct. 10 -- President Bola Tinubu will begin his 2027 re-election campaign in Kaduna on 24 October.

The Director-General of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council, Abdulaziz Yari, announced this on Friday after meeting with the president at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

Mr Yari, a former governor of Zamfara State and senator representing Zamfara West, said he has approved the timetable for the campaign.

He said the council would hold its inaugural meeting on 14 October at the State House Banquet Hall in Abuja.

"The President asked for me to come and brief him on where we are, and to discuss the timetable for the state visits," he told State House correspondents.
