Nigeria, Oct. 7 -- The presidential candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM), Seyi Makinde, has urged Nigerians to collect their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Mr Makinde, who is also the governor of Oyo State, made the call in a video shared on his social media accounts on Tuesday, displaying his PVC and urging citizens to collect theirs.

"This is your power. Irrespective of who you want to vote for, let's go out, collect your PVC, and you will use it wisely," he said.

The governor's call comes as the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) prepares to commence nationwide PVC collection on Friday, October 9, 2026.
