Nigeria, Nov. 2 -- The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has published the final list of candidates for the 2027 National Assembly elections, with 12 candidates listed for Plateau State's three senatorial districts.

The list features prominent political figures, including former Plateau State Governor Simon Lalong, former senator Simon Mwadkwon and former Minister of Youth and Sports Development Solomon Dalung.

In Plateau North, the All Progressives Congress (APC) has nominated Mr Mwadkwon, who previously contested the senatorial seat in 2023 on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
