Nigeria, Aug. 16 -- The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) announced the cancellation of results from some polling units in Osun State over over-voting and other irregularities, Election observers deployed by the Centre for Journalism Innovation and Development (CJID) on Saturday noted.

At about 9:33 p.m., a CJID observer reported that the result from Polling Unit 11 in Registration Area 9 (Iremo V), Ife Central Local Government Area, was cancelled over alleged over-voting during the collation of results at the LGA collation centre at Oluorogbo High School.

Similarly, at about 10:25 p.m., the observer also reported the cancellation of the result from Polling Unit 17 in Registration Area 4 (Ilare IV), also in Ife Central LG...
