Nigeria, Aug. 15 -- An 82-year-old resident of Esa-Odo, Moses Olufemi, on Saturday cast his ballot at the Esa-Odo Apostolic Primary School polling unit, PU 001, Ward 09, in Obokun Local Government Area of Osun State.

Mr Olufemi, who spoke with PREMIUM TIMES at the polling unit, said the voting process had been seamless, despite the early morning turnout.

He said he came out to vote to fulfil his civic responsibility.

"It's my civic right to do, if I don't do it, I am cheating myself," the octogenarian said.

Mr Olufemi also urged the Osun State Government to continue to fulfil its responsibilities to citizens, noting that residents had turned out to exercise their civic rights.
