Walsh Construction Wins $141.5 Million Contract for Texas Bypass Channel

United States, Sept. 23 -- Walsh Construction Co. II LLC, Chicago, Illinois, was awarded a firm-fixed-price contract for construction of a bypass channel including an approximately 3,900-foot-long and 300-foot-wide channel with a floodwall and an earthen levee.The amount of this action is $141,515,713 with a total cumulative face value of $169,431,703. Bids were solicited via the internet with 10 received.Work will be performed in Fort Worth, Texas, with an estimated completion date of March 21, 2029. Fiscal 2022 civil construction funds in the amount of $141,515,713 were obligated at the time of the award. U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Fort Worth, Texas, is the contracting activity (W9126G-26-C-A034).
