Bhutan, Oct. 16 -- Voith Hydro has been awarded the electro-mechanical (E&M) contract for the 90 MW Jomori Hydropower Project in Bhutan by Druk Hydro Energy Limited (DHyE), a subsidiary of Druk Green Power Corporation Limited (DGPC). The award further strengthens Voith Hydro's presence in Bhutan and expands its contribution to the country's renewable energy growth.The project, located in Samdrup Jongkhar in southeastern Bhutan, comprises of two 45 MW generating units equipped with vertical Pelton turbines. Voith Hydro's scope includes the design, engineering, manufacturing, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of turbines, generators and balance-of-plant equipment.
