France, March 10 -- Thales has officially launched STORM 2, a lightweight and compact cyber and electromagnetic activities (CEMA) node. Originally designed to counter improvised explosive devices, Thales has rapidly developed the solution to equip soldiers with localised protection from radio frequency controlled uncrewed aerial systems.Weighing less than 2kg, STORM 2 minimises the weight burden on soldiers. Frequency coverage from 20 MHz to 6 GHz offers flexible protection against a wide and evolving range of UAS control links.
