Statkraft modernises Vikfalli hydropower system
Norway, Aug. 18 -- In the coming years, Statkraft will invest approximately NOK 460 million in new control systems at the power plants comprising Vikfalli. The upgrades will strengthen operational reliability and ensure stable and dependable power generation for decades to come.Vikfalli is located in Vik municipality in Norway and comprises the Målset, Refsdal and Hove power plants. Together, the power plants produce around 860 GWh annually, equivalent to the electricity consumption of approximately 50,000 Norwegian households.
