RBI cancels Certificate of Registration of CLE Private Limited (also known as Sonata Investments Ltd.)

India, July 16 -- The Reserve Bank of India, in exercise of powers conferred on it under Section 45-IA (6) of the Reserve Bank of India Act, 1934, has cancelled the Certificate of Registration (CoR No. N-13.01757, issued on February 28, 2004) of CLE Private Limited (also known as Sonata Investments Ltd.), having its registered office at Unit No.417, 4th Floor, Ijmima Complex, Mindspace, Off Link Road, Malad West, Mumbai, Maharashtra - 400064. The cancellation order was passed on June 05, 2026.As such, the company shall not transact the business of a Non-Banking Financial Institution, as defined in clause (a) of Section 45-I of the RBI Act, 1934.
