Japan, Oct. 15 -- Panasonic Corporation (Panasonic) announced that it will launch pilot projects in Vietnam and the Philippines to collect used air conditioners and explore opportunities for their refurbishment and recycling. The initiatives form part of the Panasonic Group's long-term environmental vision, Panasonic GREEN IMPACT (PGI), and are scheduled to run in Vietnam and the Philippines from October 2026 through the end of March 2027.As economic growth drives the increased adoption of home appliances across ASEAN, establishing systems for their proper collection and treatment remains a challenge.
