France, June 9 -- Geocomp, a Sercel business specializing in infrastructure monitoring, has been contracted by the Connect Plus Partners, JV to deliver geotechnical and structural monitoring for Phase 2 of New York City Metropolitan Transportation Authority's (MTA) Second Avenue Subway, one of the most complex transit infrastructure projects in North America. The 40-month contract reflects the long-term scope and critical importance of monitoring throughout construction.This phase of the project will extend the Q line north into East Harlem, requiring excavation of an existing cavern at 116th Street, upgrades to active stations, and construction of new tunnels and underground access points.
