Multi-fuel boiler concept supports a flexible transition to fossil-free residential heating
Netherlands, June 22 -- A Dutch consortium of Stedin, GasTerra, Intergas, Bekaert and DNV has developed a proof of concept for a multi-fuel boiler for residential heating that automatically adapts to different gas qualities. The concept was launched at DNV's Technology Centre Groningen, the Netherlands, on 18 June.As the energy system moves towards climate neutrality, electrification will play an important role. At the same time, existing gas infrastructure can continue to provide value by transporting renewable and low-carbon gases.
