Ecuador, Oct. 15 -- On August 31, Inter-American Development Bank's investment arm (IDB Invest) signed a loan agreement with Banco Internacional S.A. (Banco Internacional), one of the main banks in the Republic of Ecuador, utilizing the "Trust Fund Achieving Development in Latin America and the Caribbean" (TADAC), a fund to which the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) contributes. On September 23, a signing ceremony was held in Quito, the capital of Ecuador, attended by representatives from Banco Internacional, IDB Invest, the JICA Ecuador Office, and the Embassy of Japan in Ecuador among others.IDB Invest will provide Banco Internacional with a loan of USD 75 million in total, of which USD 25 million contributed from TADAC.
