United States, April 22 -- HGS LLC, Bellaire, Texas, was awarded a $9,503,303 firm-fixed-price contract for restoration of the Dutch Gap aquatic ecosystem, including stream, riparian, wetland, and buffering plant communities to provide habitat for migratory birds and local fish and wildlife at the Dutch Gap Aquatic Complex in Antioch, Illinois. Bids were solicited via the internet with five received. Work will be performed in Antioch, Illinois, with an estimated completion date of April 20, 2031. Fiscal 2026 operation and maintenance, Corps of Engineers, civil funds in the amount of $9,503,303 were obligated at the time of the award. U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Chicago District is the contracting activity (W912P6-26-C-A008).
