United States, Oct. 16 -- Granite Construction Co. Inc., Watsonville, California, was awarded a $32,368,584 modification (P00015) to contract W91238-23-C-0014 for construction of a new northern abutment to the Sacramento Weir Widening project to address unforeseen geotechnical conditions and related engineering changes. The modification brings the total cumulative face value of the contract to $239,133,774.Work will be performed in West Sacramento, California, with an estimated completion date of Nov. 29, 2027.Fiscal 2027 civil construction funds in the amount of $32,368,584 were obligated at the time of the award. U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Sacramento, California, is the contracting activity.
