Granite Construction Awarded $10.9 Million Contract for Aircraft Arresting System

United States, Sept. 22 -- Granite Construction Co., Watsonville, California, was awarded a $10,874,002 firm-fixed-price contract for design-bid-build construction of a BAK-12/14 aircraft arresting system. Bids were solicited via the internet with four received.Work will be performed in Homestead, Florida, with an estimated completion date of Nov. 16, 2027. Fiscal 2026 operation and maintenance, Air Force Reserve funds in the amount of $10,874,002 were obligated at the time of the award.U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Louisville, Kentucky, is the contracting activity (W912QR-26-C-A034).
