GM to invest more than $150 million in Saginaw Metal Casting Plant
United States, April 2 -- General Motors announced plans to invest more than $150 million in its Saginaw Metal Casting Operations to support the production of the sixth generation of GM's V-8 engine blocks and heads used in full-size pickup trucks.This new commitment builds on the approximately $5.5 billion in investments GM made in 2025, underscoring GM's support for U.S. manufacturing, while securing the future of this facility and its employees. In January 2023, the company announced a half-billion-dollar investment in its Flint Engine plant for production of the sixth generation of V-8 engines.
