Fincantieri and Teijin Automotive Technologies sign MoU on composite bulkheads for maritime vessels
Italy, May 21 -- Fincantieri and Teijin Automotive Technologies have signed a memorandum of understanding to engineer non-structural composite bulkheads for maritime vessels, according to Fincantieri. Teijin Automotive Technologies will lead the engineering and industrialisation work, with support from Fincantieri, as the companies target lighter ship designs and functional integration while meeting operational and safety requirements. The bulkheads will use a patented composite material developed by Italian aerospace SME Aeronautical Service.
