Japan, Oct. 9 -- The Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC) signed on September 25 an amendment agreement to increase the maximum amount of a loan (from approximately USD630 million) to approximately USD1,976 million with Japan Invest 3 LLC (JI3), a U.S. company established with equity investment from JBIC. The loan is co-financed with private financial institutions, bringing the total co-financing amount to approximately USD5,917 million following the amendment. Nippon Export and Investment Insurance (NEXI) will provide the insurance for the loan by the private financial institutions.
