United States, Aug. 14 -- The Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC) signed on August 7 a loan agreement amounting to approximately USD739 million with Japan Invest 5 LLC (JI5), a U.S. company established with equity investment from JBIC. The loan is co-financed with Citibank, N.A., Tokyo Branch (agent bank) and JPMorgan Chase Bank, N.A., Tokyo Branch, bringing the total co-financing amount to approximately USD2,213 million. Nippon Export and Investment Insurance (NEXI) will provide the insurance for the loan by these private financial institutions.
