EBRD supports new floating dock for Tersan, boosting shipyard capacity
Turkey, July 9 -- The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) is providing a loan of up to US$ 41 million to Turkiye's Tersan Tersanecilik Ta??mac?l?k Sanayi ve Ticaret to support the expansion of its ship repair and retrofit operations in the country.The financing will be used for the construction of a new Panamax-sized floating dock at the company's facility in Yalova, strengthening Tersan's ability to service, retrofit and repair large maritime vessels.Environmental regulations and commercial pressures are driving demand for upgrades that reduce fuel consumption, cut greenhouse gas emissions and extend the operational life of existing vessels.The investment will help Tersan increase capacity, improve operational efficienc...
