EBRD supports critical grid investments in Turkiye with Enerjisa Enerji financing
Turkey, Sept. 3 -- The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) is providing a loan of US$ 207 million to Enerjisa Enerji, Turkiye's leading electricity distribution company, to support the modernisation and expansion of its distribution networks across the Baskent, Ayedas and Toroslar regions.This investment comes at a time when Turkiye is accelerating its energy transition and expanding renewable energy capacity.As electricity demand continues to grow and more renewable energy capacity is integrated into the grid, resilient and efficient distribution networks are essential to ensure a secure and reliable supply of electricity across the country.
