EBRD finances first large-scale refractory concentrate processing facility in Central Asia
Kazakhstan, July 6 -- The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) is contributing to the development of sustainable and ecologically responsible mining and processing in Kazakhstan by supporting the operations of its long-term client Solidcore Resources (SR), an AIFC-listed company and the country's leading gold producer.The EBRD will provide a loan of up to US$ 300 million (€255 million) to SR and Ertis Hydrometallurgical Plant (a fully owned subsidiary of SR) for the construction of the Ertis pressure oxidation hydrometallurgical complex in the Pavlodar region of Kazakhstan.
