EBRD, EIB and EU support Tunisia's energy transition and resilience
Tunisia, June 22 -- The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), in partnership with the European Union (EU) and the European Investment Bank (EIB), is supporting Tunisia's renewable energy ambitions with a €61.3 million loan to the Scatec-Aeolus joint venture for the construction of a 100 MW solar photovoltaic (PV) plant in the Sidi Bouzid region. The plant will be built by Scatec Khobna PV Power, a special-purpose vehicle established in Tunisia.This investment will support Tunisia's energy security and resilience, helping to diversify its energy mix and reducing its reliance on natural gas.
