Japan, April 22 -- ClassNK has granted an Approval in Principle (AiP) for a methane oxidation catalyst system to Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Marine Machinery & Equipment Co., Ltd. and Mitsubishi Shipbuilding Co., Ltd., according to ClassNK. The approval confirms regulatory and safety feasibility at an early design stage and clears the concept for further development without additional classification rework.
