Germany, March 19 -- With immediate effect, or as existing contracts permit, BASF is increasing the selling prices for formic acid in Europe as follows:Product: Price Increase: Formic acid + 250 Euro (MT)Formic acid is used for acidification and microbial stabilization of feed, silage and drinking water. It helps control undesirable microorganisms and supports improved feed hygiene. Furthermore, it is used in the chemical industry as process agent or intermediate.
