United States, Sept. 30 -- BAE Systems Space & Mission Systems Inc., Broomfield, Colorado, has been awarded a maximum ceiling $19,679,844, cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for Laser Utilization for Military Innovation and Novel Applications.This contract provides for activities to exploit the advantages of pulsed lasers and integrate Solid State Laser technology with existing beam control systems. Work will be performed at Kirtland Air Force Base, New Mexico, and is expected to be completed by Sept. 29, 2031.This contract was a competitive acquisition and six offers were received.
