Vietnam, Oct. 6 -- Alstom, a global leader in smart and sustainable mobility, and Vingroup, through its member company Vinhomes, have entered an agreement to design, manufacture and supply up to 83 five-car Metropolis trains and a technology license to support the assembly of 117 additional trains in Vietnam for urban rail projects in Hanoi.Alstom will design and manufacture the trains in France, at Valenciennes Petite-Foret site, its centre of expertise for metros. These will be new-generation five-car trains, offering advanced features in design, operational efficiency and safety.
