Madagascar, June 8 -- The Board of Directors of the African Development Bank Group has approved a $20 million trade finance guarantee facility for the Banque Malgache de l'Ocean Indien (BMOI), aimed at accelerating Madagascar's industrialisation and supporting local businesses across key economic sectors.Approved on 29 May 2026, the three-year facility is intended to support imports of production inputs, industrial machinery and telecommunications equipment essential to the development of Madagascar's manufacturing sector.
