ADB Puts Team on the Ground in Turkiye as Financing Demand Surges
Turkey, July 21 -- Recognizing Turkiye's growing regional importance, the Asian Development Bank (ADB) will establish an office in the country as it prepares to commit about $3 billion a year to earthquake recovery, critical infrastructure, businesses, and trade routes linking Asia and Europe. ADB's Board of Directors approved the new Turkiye Resident Mission today. Led by a country director, the office will work directly with the government, businesses, and development partners to identify projects, accelerate financing decisions, and resolve implementation problems.
