Armenia, July 17 -- The Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the Government of Armenia have signed a $293 million loan agreement to expand resilient, inclusive school infrastructure nationwide and strengthen the country's capacity to manage earthquake risks.The financing is the third loan provided by ADB for the Seismic Safety Improvement Program, following earlier approvals of $88.5 million in 2015 and $72.3 million in 2023. Through the program, ADB is supporting the reconstruction and retrofitting of schools to meet international seismic resilience standards.
