ADB, Credo Sign Local Currency Loan to Boost Financial Inclusion for MSMEs in Georgia
Georgia, Oct. 5 -- The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has signed a GEL120 million (approximately $46 million) local currency loan with JSC Credo Bank to help expand financing for micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs), including women MSMEs, operating in regions outside Tbilisi. The loan will address existing local currency financing gaps, especially for longer-term maturities, while mitigating foreign exchange risks for enterprises and strengthening the resilience of Georgia's banks.
