United Kingdom, July 21 -- CFM International and Abra Group, parent of Avianca and GOL, today announced that Avianca has selected CFM LEAP-1A engines to power 50 previously unallocated aircraft in its remaining 134-aircraft Airbus A320neo family order - together with a comprehensive services package to support Abra Group's long-term operational needs, that includes spare engines and long-term services, the latter of which will also cover GOL's fleet of Boeing 737 MAX aircraft. When taken together, Avianca A320neo family aircraft and GOL 737 MAX aircraft, both in service and in backlog, will result in an installed base of more than 650 LEAP-powered aircraft across Abra Group's brands.
