Yellamaraju sixth, Theegala makes cut in Scottish Open
India, July 12 -- Indo-Canadian golfer Sudarshan Yellamaraju surged into a tie for sixth place at 7-under-par as high winds and tricky conditions sent world Number 1 Scottie Scheffler and 2026 PGA Championship winner Aaron Rai packing after the second round of the Scottish Open here.
Rory McIlroy, Tom Kim, and Jordan Smith climbed into a three-way tie for the lead at 9-under-par.
After securing a steady 2-under 68 on the opening day, Yellamaraju shifted gears during his second round. The rising talent combined superb ball-striking with brilliant work on the greens, highlighted by a spectacular 38-foot birdie putt on the par-3 11th hole.
