India, June 27 -- A woman had a narrow escape after stepping onto the tracks at Kolkata Metro's Bansdroni (Masterda Surya Sen) station while attempting to switch platforms, briefly disrupting services on the Blue Line.

According to officials, the woman mistakenly reached the Up-line platform instead of the Down line for a train towards New Garia. Instead of using the designated subway or foot overbridge, she climbed down onto the tracks to cross over.
