India, March 18 -- A 28-year-old woman was killed and a man seriously injured after a crane rammed into their scooter and ran them over in east Delhi's Shahdara area on Monday night. The driver was caught on the spot by locals and handed over to the authorities.

The incident took place near the Shyamlal College flyover under the jurisdiction of Shahdara police station when the victims were returning home around 10 pm.

According to police, the crane hit the scooter from behind with force, throwing both riders onto the road. The heavy vehicle then ran over them, leading to critical injuries. The woman, identified as Nisha (28), was declared dead at the hospital, while the injured man, Shabir, is undergoing treatment at Guru Teg Bahadur Ho...
