India, Nov. 3 -- The body of a 20-year-old woman was found on the rooftop of a commercial establishment owned by former BJP MLA Santosh Bafna in Jagdalpur, Chhattisgarh's Bastar district, on Monday (November 02). Police suspect it to be a case of suicide.

The woman was identified as Deepa Sagar, who worked at a clothing store on the premises, police said. A note was also recovered from the spot.

City Kotwali police station in-charge Leeladhar Rathore said the body was found on Monday morning. According to the preliminary investigation, Sagar had started working at the store on October 21. She reportedly went towards the rooftop around 6:30 pm on Sunday but did not return. A woman employee spotted her body the following morning.
