India, Aug. 27 -- A woman was allegedly raped and brutally assaulted by two unidentified men while she was sleeping with her 12-year-old son near the Government Junior College in Makthal, Telangana's Narayanpet district, in the early hours of Thursday, according to local reports.

The woman, who reportedly survives by seeking alms, had been staying in the area with her son for several years. According to local accounts, the mother and son used to take shelter near the Government Junior College building at night.
