West Bengal to have two 'CM Shri' schools in every district : Adhikari
India, Sept. 5 -- West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari on Saturday announced that every district in the state will have two 'CM Shri' schools aimed at improving the quality of education and promoting sports.
Speaking at a National Teachers' Day programme, Adhikari said the initiative would be modelled on the Centre's 'PM Shri' scheme and the selected schools would be equipped with modern technology and improved facilities.
He also announced plans to establish centres of excellence in sports in the northern and western districts of the state.
