India, May 21 -- Repolling began in West Bengal's Falta Assembly constituency under heavy security arrangements, turning the seat into one of the most closely watched political battlegrounds in the state.

The Election Commission ordered fresh voting across all polling stations in the constituency following allegations of electoral irregularities and disruption of the democratic process during the earlier phase of polling.
