India, June 9 -- City-based Viyash Scientific Limited, through its wholly owned subsidiary Alivira Animal Health Limited, has signed an agreement to acquire 100 per cent stake in Italy-based BioForLife, a pet care company.

The Rs 188 crore acquisition is expected to close in Q2 FY27, Viyash Scientific Limited said in a release here on Monday. The transaction represents a significant step in Viyash's strategy to capitalise on the mega-trend of a growing Companion Animal Health Generics market, it said. It expands Alivira's global Companion Animal Health business and strengthens its presence in the European pet care market.
