India, June 19 -- In a major crackdown on bootlegging, Vadodara Police on Thursday destroyed more than one lakh bottles of illegally seized liquor and beer worth over Rs.4 crore, reinforcing Gujarat's strict prohibition laws.

The destruction drive was carried out under official supervision, with bulldozers crushing the confiscated stock collected from 15 police stations across the city. The seized liquor had been recovered during various operations against illegal alcohol trafficking and bootlegging networks.
