India, May 27 -- A United States delegation will visit India from June 1 to June 4 to advance negotiations on an interim trade agreement and continue discussions under the broader India-US bilateral trade agreement framework.

According to government officials, the visit aims to finalise key details of the proposed interim pact, focusing on issues such as market access, non-tariff barriers, customs procedures, and investment promotion.

The discussions follow a joint statement issued on February 7, 2026, in which both countries agreed on a framework for a mutually beneficial trade arrangement and reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral economic ties.
