India, July 1 -- The US Supreme Court has struck down former President Donald Trump's attempt to restrict birthright citizenship, delivering a major setback to his immigration agenda. In a 6-3 ruling, the court reaffirmed that children born on US soil are entitled to American citizenship under the 14th Amendment, regardless of their parents' immigration status or whether they are temporary visitors.
