India, May 25 -- US Secretary of State Marco Rubio visited the Taj Mahal in Agra on Monday morning along with his wife Jeanette Rubio as part of his ongoing four-day official tour of India.

The couple, accompanied by US Ambassador to India Sergio Gor, spent around an hour at the UNESCO World Heritage site, where they posed for photographs and toured the monument complex amid tight security arrangements.

The visit is part of Rubio's broader diplomatic itinerary in India, which includes meetings with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, and participation in the Quad Foreign Ministers' Meeting in New Delhi.
