US Military strike on suspected drug-trafficking boat kills 3 in Eastern Pacific
India, June 19 -- The US military carried out another strike on a vessel suspected of involvement in drug trafficking in the eastern Pacific Ocean, killing 3 people as part of an ongoing campaign against transnational narcotics networks.
According to the US Southern Command, the operation targeted a boat travelling along what officials described as a known drug-trafficking route in the eastern Pacific. The military said the strike was conducted after intelligence assessments indicated the vessel was involved in narcotics-related activities.
