India, Sept. 21 -- A 26-year-old woman teacher was allegedly shot dead inside her school here on Monday by a 28-year-old man, who later shot himself with the same weapon and died, police said.

The deceased was identified as Nishat Fatima, a resident of Hidayat Nagar locality under the Sadar Kotwali area, while the accused was identified as Mohd Saud Ansari, a resident of Naurangabad, they said.

Police said the two knew each other for a long time.

Kheri Senior Superintendent of Police Khyati Garg, who along with District Magistrate Anjani Kumar Singh visited the school and inspected the spot, said Ansari arrived at around 11:30 am to meet Fatima.
